A Note from Coach CJ:
It truly is hard to believe that we are down to our last two months of the short course season. That is exciting and good news for the swimmers....only a few more weeks of hard work and then TAPER!!!! Yea!!!
Congratulations to my swimmers who had meets this past month. Jillian had a great meet at Candy Cane Classic in Sandusky and she , Alli, and Brandon all swim well at the New Years Stretch. Dropping times while not really resting is always good. Just think how fast we are going to swim at the end of the season when we are more rested.
We have a lot of meets coming up so good luck to everyone and I know you will swim fast. This weekend is the Jim Scullion meet in Lakewood and then we have 10 & under meet, 11 & up meet, Fab 50's and the Pentathlon. A lot of the Juniors are in several of those meets so it will be a busy end to January and start of Feb.
We will continue with dryland for about a month more and then stop the middle of February. That will give your bodies plenty of time to get strong for the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Champ meets coming up. Everyone should be doing at least one of those meets so please check them out online. The Bronze meet does not require qualifying so all can go and then depending on how fast your times are, you may be able to go to Silver. Gold champs is the last meet and will end the season.
Happy New Year to everyone and see you at the pool!!!!
